START:  Warner Gap Rd.    3:55 amFINISH; Pine Grove Furnace SP    7:50 pm44.2 miles    15:55    2.8 mpd1,104.9 total miles   46 mpdHot  humid   no rainFollowing a good night's sleep, Mercury headed out at 3:55 am and crossed the Mason-Dixon line into PA at 6:45 am. Six states down with eight to go.She passed the halfway point later on in the day. Less than a handful of people can claim an AT halfway 'split' of 24 days.Left shin splint is no worse for today's wear but it is still preventing Mercury from running much.Mercury's in-laws stopped by with supplies and support/encouragement and her father-in-law walked half a day with her while Jupiter regaled the mother-in-law with eye-rolling tales of the trail.Ultramarathoners (the Henrys) showed up at the end of the day with much encouragement and food.Humid, buggy night (first night with bugs). Jupiter started off sleeping in a picnic pavilion unknowingly becoming the picnic for 'those we cannot see'.These creatures of the dark finally drove Jupiter into the nearby tiny house (bathroom) to sleep what remained of the night. Unfortunately, he was under a motion sensor light and if a ranger was around in the wee hours (no pun intended) of the night, they would have thought that had a new disco venue installed.
