Nice day for hiking
Mercury negotiated some treacherous rocky sections today being cautious.
She was slowed more by blisters and sore feet due to all the rocks in the trail.
Her left shin splint continues to improve.
The highlight for Jupiter was the appearance by Sam Swisher-McClure who he mentored on a LT endurance record in 1997 and a courageous try at the AT endurance record in 1998. Seeing Sam and Mercury walk together filled his heart full and made him cry.
An AT endurance record attempt is so intense. so simple, so true!
Liz’s parents and sister showed up later in the day to show their support on her difficult endeavor. This also was an emotional, very real moment.
Liz beat the tropical storm in by hiking a particularly rocky section at night alone.
Looks like wet and windy weather tomorrow.
